Ballet Syllabus Certificate

Level 1

Welcome!

We are so thrilled to have you participating this term!

The Ballet Syllabus Certificate course aims to educate and empower ballet teachers to create their own robust and well-rounded ballet syllabi for Level 1 students, typically ages 6-9 years old. Course leaders share the tools, resources, and one-on-one feedback necessary for teachers to feel confident in planning a curriculum and syllabus for their students. Courses are free for all participants.

This e-course is divided into two parts: Syllabus Tools (Weeks 1-6) and Syllabus Building (Weeks 7-12). Assignments will vary from reading texts, to watching videos, to participating in live discussions, to attending live ballet classes, and more.

  • Part 1 - Syllabus Tools: Participants will learn a brief ballet history, class management skills, level-specific ballet vocabulary, technique feedback and stretching tips, and musicality.

  • Part 2 - Syllabus Building: Participants will be taken through the creation of their full-year ballet syllabus for their Level 1 students.
